$115.00

Description: A print created with RVA Rapid Transit, a nonprofit in Richmond, Virginia dedicated to improving public transportation to support social equality, economic vibrance, and environmental sustainability. 50% of proceeds from the sale of this edition will be donated to RVA Rapid Transit in support of their mission.

Richmond was home to the world’s first functional electric trolley system, which began operation in 1888. Ever since, Richmond’s public transportation system has been the site of struggle over racial and class equality. Richmond’s 78 bus serves my neighborhood. The closest stop is 600 feet from my doorstep. This print celebrates the humble 78 in the spirit of early 20th century train travel posters, and Puerto Rico’s División de Educación de la Comunidad.

This print was exhibited at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan as part of Puertograbando, SGCI’s 2025 conference. It is held in the collections of La Liga and the Zuckerman Museum of Art at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
